Location Shots

Our location shots will be key for us in establishing our music video and the areas which will appear better on camera . When choosing where to shot we wanted to have a variety of places to shoot. We have chosen to shot in the following places:

  1. Sidmouth Beach and Jacobs Ladder
  2. Ottery St Mary
  3. Woodbury Common
  4. Abandoned house located in Sidmouth
By shooting in the locations above we aim to have a number of diverse shots to create a more creative music video. Some of the shots we wish to create are also not conventional in some locations for example when our protagonist is holding the sparkler we want to shot it somewhere that isn't dangerous ,such as the beach were there is less of a risk than for example, the woods.

Practice Filming

Practice Filming

Before filming we have decided to create recce shots because some of our ideas needed to be looked at in further detail so that we knew that they were feasible. The first shot that we have practised is a shot the protagonist ripping up photographs. We decided that we would have this shot be at the beginning of our music video to emphasise her emotions from her breakup. We then proceeded to practice this shot so that we could esablish how this shot would be exucuted. However, after filming this proctice ashot we decided that what we had filmed was good and a needed shot however we felt that it didn`t go along with the idea of the video.

We then sat and brainstormed how we could use this shot but in a different way. We have now decided to use the same shot idea but instead of her ripping up pictures, have her take out her phone bring up a folder of pictures of her and her ex-boyfriend and delete them before tossing her phone to the side. We will create this shot using the same framing and editing as we have done for the recce shot of our previous idea. Our aim in changing this shot is to create a bigger sense of realism for our audience.

Risk Assessment

Risk Assessment
I have created this risk assessment which will be key when we chose to film our music video because we are filming in areas of low, medium and high risk. Our risk assessment will be read by all actors so they are not only aware of the risks but are aware of how to avoid them from occurring
